  1. Where are space probes sent to space? To collect information and to discover new planets and galaxies.
  2. Why do you think the word probe was used for this type of spacecraft? To search or examine thoroughly. :-)
  3. Why does the author say “humans dare not go into space”? Cause there are all sorts of dangerous stuff in space, there is also no oxygen in space so if something went wrong no-one will be there to help!  :-)
  4. Why can space probes be successful even though they are quite small? They are travelling at incredible speeds like 17 or 18 km per second!!! :-)
  5. Look at the photograph on page 3, what do you think creates the rings around saturn? Ice, dust and rocks.
  6. Do you feel that space exploration is a good or bad use of time and/or money? No, and because well we are using butt loads of money on space explorations and sometimes they aren't even successful!!!
